Extended Mileage Exhibition Opening, Gallery Red, Friday 25th May 2012

I'm launching my new exhibition "Extended Mileage" at Gallery Red on Friday the 25th May 2012 from 6 - 8pm.  Please come along and enjoy a drink on me.  This show is presented as part of the 2012 Head On Photo Festival and is a further exploration of images taken during my 10 day road trip during December 2009.  A trip covering over three and a half thousand kilometres from The Whitsunday Shire in North Queensland to The Dandenong Ranges in Victoria.  This second look has resulted in 19 new images which I feel are as strong, mysterious,  personal and perhaps even magical as those presented in "Mileage - Images from the Road" in August last year.

Once again these limited edition prints are rendered in a toned black and white and printed on the beautiful Hanhemule Bamboo archival fine art paper, made from 90 percent bamboo and 10 percent cotton rag.  It'll be a big show, with the 19 new images complemented by several of my favourites from the previous show.

We're also donating 15 percent of the sales towards Lock The Gate in the hope that we can win the fight for sustainable land use and keep Australian coal seam gas mining from the excesses we've seen in elsewhere.

The exhibition runs from Friday the 25th May through to the 13th June with the gallery open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 3pm.  I'll be at the opening and also looking after the gallery on Saturdays, feel free to ask any questions about the work and I'll answer them if I can.  The flyer above may be downloaded in pdf format by clicking on the image or from here.
